In 1979, Phil Estrin began a new chapter in his life. With the support of his family, he decided to take over a Jewish Style Bakery & Restaurant at Bathurst & Sheppard. A simple concept from the start, BP offered a traditional dairy menu in the restaurant with a variety of sandwiches, omelettes and salads.

In the bakery, it began with a small selection of bagels, breads and rolls, along with three pastries: our famous blueberry, buffalo, and cheese buns. 

Over the years BP's offerings grew, evolving with the times. Still family run today, we serve a large selection of popular, all day breakfast, lunch and dinner options - 7 days a week. Check out our authentic Lox and Cream Cheese Sandwich, fresh Kale Salad, or our popular Green Pea Soup!
